Build Credibility with your Visitors and Customers
When articles are posted related to your field of business, it lets your visitors and customers know that you're knowledgeable about what you do. It helps them build confidence in you and are more likely to go from being a visitor to a strong lead (potential customer). The first things a potential customer wants about a product or service is information and a well developed website will have that. But a blog can reinforce that information and let them know just how important that product is.
Using my own site as an example... I offer mobile compatible websites so it's on my Services page to let people know I offer it. My blog has an article letting people know just how important it is because most people don't know that more than 50% of websites are viewed from a mobile device now. Now, after see that blog article, my viewers have a reason to care about that service. People want you products and services. They have certain goals in mind. Show them how your products and services meet their goals. Everyone knows Duct Tape holds things together well, but I'd bet anyone that ows the book "101 Uses for Duct Tape" buys more Duct Tape... and is happy about it!
You may be thinking "I don't have time to write all those articles". Don't worry, I can help you with that. Click here to learn more about Web Content Development Services.
Have a website already and want to add a blog?
When I make a website from scratch I prefer to use Joomla which has blog functionality built-in already. But, if you have a website already that you want to leave as-is and just add a blog, the best way to go is WordPress (#1 CMS for blogs). Your WordPress blog can be installed in a subfolder of your existing site (http://yourwebsite.com/blog) and easily linked to you main menu or anywhere else.
